We
accept a wide variety of file formats, and endeavour to keep up with
all the latest available packages, we work with both Mac and PC files:
Adobe PDF (press ready)
Quark Xpress 7.3 (or lower)
Adobe Creative Suite 4
(Indesign/Illustrator/Photoshop)
We also accept:
Microsoft Word
Publisher
Microsoft Excel

Saving Files for Printing
Creating a PDF file is the easiest way of getting work to us, please ensure they are press ready high resolution files (300dpi or higher), the file should have 3mm bleed all round and crop marks included (2mm offset). CMYK colours and/or Pantones are required to print; we can use RGB files but remember that these will convert to CMYK when printed and this may effect colour in some cases. For peace of mind, we provide a digital proof before printing.
If you are using Quark or Indesign please also supply fonts and any picture files that are linked, we recommend Collect for Output in the Quark menu, or the Package option in Indesign.
You can send the files via our iDisk:
If
you're using Mac OS X version 10.3 or later, choose Go > iDisk, and
then choose Other User's Public Folder from the submenu. Type the
member name furnivalpress in the Member Name field, and then click
Connect and click OK. Our Public folder opens on your desktop.
If
you're using Mac OS X version 10.1 or 10.2, choose Go > Connect To
Server and type http://idisk.mac.com/furnivalpress-Public.
If you're using Windows XP, use iDisk Utility for Windows to open someone's Public folder. To download iDisk Utility for Windows, go to www.mac.com, and click "iDisk Utility for Windows XP."
If you're using Windows 2000, open My Computer, choose Map Network Drive from the Tools menu, then click "Web folder or FTP site." Enter the following as the location to add: http://idisk.mac.com/furnivalpress-Public?
If you're using Windows 98, open My Computer, double-click the Web Folders icon, then double-click Add Web Folder. Enter the following as the location to add: http://idisk.mac.com/furnivalpress-Public?
Or of course the old fashioned way, a disk by bike or in the post.
